Wow, I usually don't care for those old school style scifi illustrations, but that guy's pretty cool. He reminds me a little bit of Peter Gric and that's always a good thing. And you're right, some of his pictures look like the kind of thing i would wanna do if i were any good, only less oldschool :P. Thanks for the link.
